TCM Week

It's here - the week of the marathon. My 4th and from a mileage perspective, probably the least prepared I've been. But I've been feeling OK on runs - and I think I have a 50:50 shot at beating my time from last year.

My goals:
1) Finish.
2) Sub 3:10
3) Sub 3:05

For years and years (regardless of race/distance) I had not ever thought of finishing to be worthy of mentioning in my goals. From experience, finishing a marathon is a big deal - independent of how fast you are, it is a tough distance full of opportunity to encounter difficulties that force a withdrawal.

I think I'm going to go out with the 3:05 pace group and see how I feel at 1/2 way and readjust.

Yikes.
